The first 3 episodes of Castle Rock, the new J.J. Abrams and Stephen King effort, was released yesterday on hulu. I stayed up late to get the full impression and I'm still on a fence...which means I'll be tuning in every week, I think.

I'm very happy that it's not been a total blow out like Lost in Space! It definitely has prospect.

The previews/trailers were quite a bit misleading....

~SPOILERS!~

Yes, it does tie-in many of the well-known Stephen King stories centered around Castle Rock and the Maine vicinity, but I found it odd that Sissy Spacek does not play Carrie and Bill Skarsgard does not play Pennywise (at least not yet).

Thoughts?

Started watching this after I signed up for Hulu back when I intended to take part in the 7W challenge and I needed to watch some of the Night Gallery shows. Thanks Sean!

As a huge King fan was all ready to love this. It started out pretty good and had me intrigued with Skarsgård's character locked up at Shawshank and such. Sadly, IMO, it lost me around episode six or seven when all it did was concentrating on Ruth's/Spacek's dementia. The editing didn't help either. It all started to seem like it was all recut from previous episodes. Nothing new happened or was introduced. It was just going around in circles with her confusing mental stage. Right now I have no plans to revisit, but who knows, I could change my mind.
