One of my favourite October watches so far this year, from writer/director Bryan Bertino (The Strangers, The Monster).

A relentlessly bleak story of demonic evil, set almost entirely at a farmstead. Just super solid all around. Good scares, excellent cinematography, and great acting, especially from the brilliant Marin Ireland. Extremely impressive for a relatively small budget.

Nothing new about this movie -- just an all-around well-done version of a familiar subgenre.
