This is my first review. I just finished reading 16 blocks. I have to say that I like the movie better than this undated draft. The movie retains 70% of the screenplay available on simplyscripts. Some of the situations were altered, shortened, and made to be more realistic in the movie version. Even though there are some similarities, the ending played out differently. The funny thing about me doing this script review was I watched the movie half way into reading the script. Then I finished the script afterwards. After watching the movie, it altered how I viewed the characters in the script, namely Eddie.

There was a lot that happened in the script in about 2 hours. It was less believable in the script than in the movie. The movie did a better job of getting to the point and taking out needless scenes that dragged the movie on. This draft at 109 pages felt too long. It would have been atleast 2hrs 10mins on screen.

I got kinda disoriented at the end because I was too busy making comparisons to the final cut. Anyway, the final screenplay made the story more believeable and more emphatic, especially the bus scene towards the end.

Overall, I liked the character development and the little twist at the end. I would give the movie an A- and this draft of the script a B-.

This is definitely a well-written, properly formatted script.  I loved the movie as well.
