Commercial No. 7

Boy ol' boy. Just when you think Dorff is gonna come out looking half way cool he falls further and further away into the shitter. Funny visual thinking he's flirting with the waitress when in reality he's a fellow coworker. Lol.

Nice job once again, Sean. Very imaginative to keep coming up with these little gems.

Excellent work. Again. Always brings a smile. I do look forward to seeing them. You pack a lot in such a small space. I wonder if there's a joke there about my trousers. Erm, nope. Apparently not.

Keep 'em coming.

R,

No joke about small spaces and you wanting to see what Sean and I have to offer....ok this is sounding too creepy now haha.

Anyway, thank you for the continued support and am glad we continue to make you smile. Hopefully the next one will be up soon.

Rob

Commercial No. 8 --

Funny stuff as usual, Robert. My only gripe is why is he there? Maybe if you showed him with a plastic bag collecting trash, that could've worked or maybe a foreman yelling for him to get back to work. Just a thought.

One little error on the first page - Wipes the swear (sweat) from his brow.

Another solid entry. As always... keep em' coming!

Dirk,

I gotta hand it to you for sticking with these ridiculous shorts. It's funny that you mention that error as that's one neither of us had seen. There were also a few others we noticed after the fact. However, with all the technical problems going on behind the scenes with this one, it's a wonder it came out at all.

As for your first point, I'm going to let Rob bring that one up as this was his script. Still, thank you for coming to check these scripts out every week (or two or three). =)

Sean and Robert,

These are fucking hilarious! Not sure how I missed these before? Anyway, I just read all 8 episodes in one sitting and was thoroughly entertained throughout.

My favourite episodes were 1, 3, 4 and 7. Stealing the doughnuts from the set and then the reveal that he worked in the pizza place proper made me laugh out loud.

Thank you both for providing my Monday evening with some much needed humour

Dirk,

Sean and I have certain ways that the commercials can end. Obviously I wont go into them as it might take a bit of the joy out of them. Basically Dorff has nowhere else to go right now and hanging out in a landfill is free, so, why not? If every commercial ended with him "getting back to work" then the joke would have worn out its welcome way before commercial number 8.

As Sean mentioned, this one had a lot of difficulty to get to where it was. I noticed some things, (not the error you mentioned) but once this finally got up, the idea did the job I wanted so as is, I'm ok with it.

Also, again, as Sean said, thank you for sticking with these for as long as you have. There are many more to come and hopefully they will continue to at least provide a chuckle or two.

Rob

Hey Rob & Sean,

Explaining that Dorff has nowhere to go and is looking for a cheap (or free) place to stay makes a ton of sense. Thanks for clearing that up. Always a pleasure to read the newest entry in the Dorff series. They keep me laughing which is your intention so it's working. Like I said before. Keep em' coming.

Toby,

Glad you enjoyed them and were able to make you laugh. We got plenty more on the horizon, so hopefully we can continue to add some humor to your day.

These aren't getting the attention they deserve. Funniest thing I've read in quite a while.

Regarding No. 8 - I worry for poor Stephen's future.

That's okay. Maybe, with time, they'll become a cult classic. We're both happy that you're still enjoying them and hope you keep enjoying them.

As to your second point, things are still going very well for Dorff right now... compared to what's coming. =)

I've never seen one of these ad's as they don't show them here in the UK. I did read the first one, but I'm guessing one is better off being familiar with the ad's to fully appreciate the work here.

At the bottom of the first page, I did link the two real Stephen Dorff ads that we began parodying.

I still don't see the ad's on a regular basis. Most of the time we watch ad's because we have little choice but to do so. They're forced on us and we see them over and over and over again.

To fully appreciate this comedy, I would need to have been force-fed the ad's over and over again, just like people in the US have been subjected to.

I read the first one and didn't find it funny. I'm only pointing this out because somebody said they're not getting the reads they deserve. I think that may be down to familiarity with the ad's, as there are obviously two or three here that do find them funny.
