*Spoilers*

Been sampling some different shorts from members of the SS crew that I haven't read previously.  Today, it was When It's Over (and also A Woman Scorned.)

Have to say - I enjoyed this one better.  At first, I found the ending a bit  jarring.  Didn't expect it.  And I also found the coincidence of Bob's proclamations of love, and immediate demise to be a bit...well, convenient.

But on the second read, it wore well...despite all that.  The picnic was a sweet snapshot of Bob's life, family and personality - all the things that I needed, in order for me to care about his death at the end of the script.

Taken for what it is - a slice of life type of script - it was nice.  And a satisfying read.
