Another display of solid writing. I do agree though that it seems, by itself, to pack no punch. It definetly shows Jacob's character and he does arc (alone but content to alone and wanting) but it's not really too interesting. If this was the beginning of something bigger, I'd say you definetly got us in the character and we'd accept the lack of "something happening" knowing that this is a small piece of the story. As a short, I just don't think it's enough.
It does work as a nice excercise though. Good show. |
