well, most people thought it was disrespectful to people who went through it, and of course we all know New orleans didn't rebuild itself after the storm, so that was an enormous plothole, and that bothered people too. I thought it would just put more people at ease to remove the katrina reference and just make it entirely fictional, like it was intended
