Hey Bert,

Nice to see something new from you. I usually don't pop into the comments section too often anymore, but I had to read your decennial short script.

I missed that this was supposed to be animation in the description. Actually, I enjoyed it a bit more thinking of live action. The robotic movements of the mannequins and their plastic faces, but who in the world would have such a budget??

Happy to say you haven't lost your touch. I was thoroughly engrossed and found this a joy to read. I especially liked the use of inaudible dialogue.

I felt like this was a nice play on the old Frankenstein theme - man will be destroyed by his inventions. And it's timely in the age of atomic bombs and AI. (Even if this isn't the theme you were digging into)

Great work. Thanks for sharing it. You should post stuff more often.

James

Ha! Surely not, but then again, I haven't formally checked on the dates tbh.

Yep, exactly that.  For a short script, this occurred to me after about two pages.

That is such a rich vein for thinking about new stories, isn't it? Where in the hell is it going?

Thanks for reading it!  Always appreciate your thoughts, even if life spares me precious little time to play around on these boards anymore.

Hi Bert.

Very nice and sad.

Have you seen Westwood? That could be the end of Westworld. I didn't like it however but people say good things. It's about a town filled with real mannequins. I tried several episodes.

Anyway, as a short, it's very compelling. The first no dialog short or anything that I actually liked to read. It's hard for me to read those. This felt alive.

Hi Khamanna -- and thanks so much for taking the time to read!

I like that show a lot. Probably more than most people, I think. My wife hated it so much I had to watch it alone, and she has to really dislike something to abandon me like that for a series.

What a nice thing to say about script populated by characters that are (mostly) not alive at all.

Thanks again, Kham, much appreciated.
