Seemingly missing the spectacle of watching actors get their butts kicked and having to be lifted by others to a pool of ice, The Wachowski brothers ["The Matrix"] have announced a return to martial-arts action ville, eyeing a redo of a popular Japanese flick called "Shinobi".

According to estrenosdecine.net, Joel's lil' buddies will change the film's setting from a time of Japanese Ninjas to the Spy world.

"Shinobi", based on the novel by Futaroh Yamada - not the video game, tells of a man and woman, both from different clans, who fall in love with each other. When the ban to fight each other's clans is lifted, both have to make a pretty crucial decision.
