Hi all,

Some of you know me, some of you don't.  My name's Chris Shalom, I'm an eighteen year old independent filmmaker in Canada.  I have several scripts on the site and am on IMDb.  There is one short of mine on Google Video (entitled 'The Sound of Inevitability', it was written, shot, and cut in 24 hours for a film festival).  I'm currently working on editing my first feature length film, which some of you have seen a rough cut trailer for.

Anyway, I was eager to apply for Spielberg's "On the Lot" this year, and I filmed a short for it, which, while being interesting, just turned out to be too long.  I've been actively browsing some of the newer shorts here, but because I haven't been particularly active on these boards for a while I thought I'd check for recommendations from some of you.

I need a script that will be a finished product of under five minutes, and that's about it.  Budget, I'll make it work (except for full-on sci fi stuff, for example).  I can't offer money at this point, but the writer would obviously keep the rights and have (I think and hope) a pretty cool adaptation of their work.

So that said, does anyone have any scripts or recommendations?

For info on "On the Lot" you can check out the website at http://www.thelot.com.

Take a look at Not Even Death or Price Check on Film Noir or Orange Menace in the shorts section.

Hey, Chris.  Is that Marigold?  How is it turning out?

As for shorts, once you find the right set, I'll bet you could make Paramour's pretty cheap haha.  Or not.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

Phil,

I've read 'em all...I'll re-read.  Thanks.

Bert,

Yeh it's Marigold.  As to how it's going...trailer should be online on about the 21st, so you can judge for yourself, wahoo.  As for Paramour's, I actually have a set that I think would work, but no lesbians (story of my life...).

Topher,

Not read it.  I'll check it out.
