The young woman becomes the first love of his life, which will consequently be cut short due to her disease. 218 pages...this would be a film of over 3 and half hours?  I doubt this will get many reads at all given the page count. Right away people are going to see 218 pages, groan, and look for another script to read. That's harsh but true. 218 pages for what seems to be a drama/love story is way out of proportion.

First thing is the formatting needs to be dealt with. Although you have 218 pages, there is plenty of white space and large gaps of space between many of the scene settings. The actual script length is probably closer to 150-160 pages once the formatting is done properly.  Even at that length, you have close to 3 hours of screen time.

Please, look around at other scripts and see how to properly format this. Go here for a great program :

13 feature scripts, 2 short subjects. One sale, 4 options. Nothing filmed. Damn.

Currently rewriting another writer's SciFi script for an indie producer in L.A.
