I have begun the collaboration process with a friend of mine.  We have our plot and scene outline and now we are starting the dialogue.  What is the best way to go about it? Any advice would help.

Thanks
Stephanie

You didn't mention character biographys. Each major character should have a page or two outlining his likes, dislikes, personality and other emotional level notes that define who they are.

Who did they date in High School?
What kind of music do they like?
How did they respond to thier first break-up?
Best friend in childhood?
Relationship to parents, siblings and people in authority?
What were they doing the day before the story started?

Just to name a few...

Recommend Linda Seger's "Creating Unforgettable Characters" as a guide through this process. Good luck!

We did all that too. Sorry I didn't mention that part.  We worked for 2 months prior to reaching this point.
