Hey guys, long time no see. Haven't really been around much, if at all, due to a pretty stacked schedule. I have been producing, writing and directing comedy sketches lately. I recently just wrapped filming on a comedy short called, "Kung Fubar" starring some NYC comedians and comic actors. I wrote it a year ago but we decided to film cheaper sketches first. But we eventually decided just to dive in and make this damn thing.
Production was paid out of pocket. But to complete the film and finish post production, we had to put together a kickstarter page. I don't expect to come anywhere close to achieving the target goal and I'll definitely have to pay most of it out of pocket to compensate my editor (and other post costs). But anything helps. If you wouldn't mind checking out the kickstarter page and learning more about the film, that would be great.
The comedy short is a little edgy, might be controversial, but the footage is super funny and hopefully people laugh. Even if you don't contribute, if you could share and spread the news, that would be absolutely fantastic.

Wow, I didn't even know we met our goal until I saw your post, Warren. I'm at a loss for words. I was never a fan of these crowdfunding things and honestly didn't think we'd get anywhere close to meeting our goal. Thanks to everyone at Simply Scripts who donated and a special thanks to Don for being awesome and for posting the link on the home page. Crazy thing is that it only took 2 days to surpass our goal... and we still have 11 days left! Everything over our $600 goal will go towards film fest costs, screening/venue fees, donor rewards, promotional materials (wasn't going to get a poster made, but I may now), and, if thinks keep up like this for the remainder of our campaign, funding for our next sketches/comedy shorts.
