Echoes From Heaven by Eddie Thames - Drama, Fantasy - A desperate young man hitches a ride with an old Scotsman and soon realizes there is more to the old man than meets the eye as he discovers the miraculous secret of echoes from heaven and his own surprising destiny. 116 pages - pdf, format
Very interesting script. The scene descriptions and dialogue kept the story moving at a good pace. I like John's character interaction with Elijah. Neat way of tackling religion without making it hoaky.
When I finished reading it I felt that you could have ended it sooner. When the old indian gets into the Volvo and the sign reads, "Gone home". I thought that was a perfect time to bring everything to a close. We get that John is now the miracle man and it's a nice way of leaving the audience with the ability to fill in the gaps. Perhaps you could have a radio talking about the miraculous healing at the hospital.
All in all it's a great script. I could see it being a film. It comes across very visual. Also, I think a lof of people are searching for their calling. This gives them a possible alternative to the corporate world. Good stuff. I recently just posted my script "Burial Grounds".
I thought the story was good all around. I like how you made sure you were funny but still sirious at the same time. (sorry for a writer i have horrible spelling.)
