The lack of entries was entirely my fault.  Shortly before Phil announced the theme and genre, I was sucked into a work black hole from which I've only just emerged.  I didn't have the opportunity to advertise the fact the OWC was going on, hence the few number of entries.  

Actually, there were more entries than I expected give the circumstances.

I've read four of the scripts so far and two of them were nopt about popcorn; it was mentioned somewhere in the story.  I find that to be a little....disappointing.

I'm now waiting for a Pepi script.

Was the theme of the OWC too hard this time around?

The dictionary says about a "theme" and I quote "a subject of discussion" and as long as they discuss the theme, it is a theme so maybe change your meanings like you did when you changed it from a contest.

That would be from Pygmalion, better known to musical and movie lovers as My Fair Lady.

Bizarre assortment of names, though. From what I can derive, if there's a pattern (besides them all relating to the entertainment medium), it's rather obscure. I can think of a few strings that might work for some of them, but it may be a case of looking for a pattern in randomness.

Well, I've read and commented on all of them. Perhaps the turnout was a little weak but no big deal. It's quality, not quantity. Speaking of which, this OWC had some good ones, some really good ones, and some not so good ones. I guess that's every OWC but I have to say the ones that were good were really good. I'd actually call two of them outstanding. Even the ones that weren't great at least had some comic relief going for them.

All in all, not bad at all this around. IMO, anyway. Hope the next OWC's just as good. Thanks to Don and Phil for organizing this one. Keep up the good work, guys.

They are all fictitious authors from movies or television.

Yeah, Phil.  This month's topic was extremly difficult to me.  I'm probably breaking a rule here, but I didn't enter this time around again, and I really wanted to try and participate this month because I haven't written anything in a very long time, but dag man, haha.  I had a piece of paper with "Sci-Fi" and "popcorn" at the top and to this day it is still blank.  I just couldn't think of anything, haha.

Oh well, perhaps next month.
