A new one, so can't vouch for the comp, but know one of the organisers and it's free (until 30th) and the winner gets a script produced.

Cheers Antony, I'll keep my eye on that. I see they want scripts between 1 and 6 pages....and it just so happens the latest owc is up to 6 pages!

My best scripts are taken right now... I may dust off Puta Grasa give it an edit and enter it. Still haven't even added my real name to the script yet.

We'll all be able to enter our OWC's and the organisers are gonna wonder what the fuck is going on when they get swamped with superhero comedy scripts ;-)

Just had a look at this and not wanting to sound stupid but how do you actually submit a script?  There are no download options for pdf's so do you have to link a website that hosts a script, like SS?

You join film freeway, load you script up to your account and then submit from there.

Worth joining as you can submit to a load of competitions from there.

I've been a member of there for ages but never bothered listing any scripts before. Might be worth seeing if I can find some traction with my old ones. Thanks for reminding me of this terrific resource, mate.

I registered but am still unsure how you actually load your scripts as there's no load file option, or am I missing it somewhere?

Go to My Projects and click the + Add New Project option, in there you enter the details of your script and then there's an option to browse/upload it.

They've just announced the semi-finals and my script from the last owc has made it in there. Is that Dustin I see in the list as well? Any other SS'ers in the list - sorry I'm terrible with most of your 'real' names!

So it was your link I followed. I wanted to send them Puta Grasa but it was too long. Impropriety is my only script short enough that isn't under option.

Bit of production value in mine, but that might be a part of the fun for some filmmakers. I imagine that if I didn't have a chance that it wouldn't have even made the running. Looks like they're using some type of voting system though - if their response is anything to go by - so it could well be that the readers like my script, but from a production standpoint it may not be the most feasible. Like I said though, if I don't win then I hope Mark does.

Thanks again, Anthony.

Looking at their site it seems that we will get some feedback notes on our scripts. That will be interesting! I also think Local Hero will be tough to produce as is, particularly the hundreds of spiders sprouting out of his hands bits, so I will be very surprised if it gets into the final but I am happy it has got this far. I'll also be happy if Dustin wins but not if anyone else wins!!!

And yes, thanks again Anthony for posting this. With the feedback I got from Local Hero I probably wouldn't have entered this into any competition but your post seemed to be a perfect fit at the perfect time so I thought what the heck!

Looks like neither Dustin or I made it into the finals. MEH!

They had the cheek to invite me to like their Facebook page after they had announced I hadn't made it through lol!

I honestly didn't expect it with mine anyway. From a production standpoint, it isn't the easiest. Unfortunately I have a few scripts like that. Be nice to see one of them get made but filmmakers want everything too easy. There are only so many stories we can tell for a micro budget... which unfortunately accounts for 99.9% of the short market. It's one thing liking a script, quite another to actually produce it. I was pleased to get to the semi finals though. I take it as a testament to my talent.
