...This might need a rewrite.

I read the first ten. It's alright. Not terribly funny but it moves along and the writing is clear. A lot of the exposition is delivered through dialogue which leaves a shallow impression on the characters.
I would suggest showing (not telling) us how much Fran has given up for trev before he dumps her.
