Very sad to see someone so talented end their life like this. True Romance, Crimson Tide, Last Boy Scout & Man on Fire are all films that I re-watch regularly.

I don't know how true it is, but I've heard that he was recently diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer.

True Romance is most likely my favorite film of all time and a true classic.

But then again, most of his movies were good to great.  One of the few greats for sure.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of Tony's films (I find his direction to be over zealous, obnoxious, and distracting), it's a damn shame for him to go like this. A tragic day in the movie world for sure.

Oh and True Romance is amazing.

Was in a shop when it broke on the televisions. Had to stop and double take.

People already mentioned True Romance, and it's -- it is one of those films, isn't it. Damn.

I'm always on the lookout for great podcasts to listen to while I'm out running (maybe there's a thread for podcasts links? Can't see one).

Anyhoo, the BAFTA website has a huge archive with podcasts loaded with interviews with the heavyweights of the screenwriting world. If anyone doesn't already know about it:
