Okay so this is where I say whats been said ......alot.
"I have what I think to be an idea good enough to develope and require someone of equal or better talent to assist."
I have 2 concepts I am trying to push now and I would like to get atleast some drafts that I am hoping to pitch to some.........people.
you want SPECIFICS! of course. well one is a Freddy Vs Jason/Jeepers Creepers type of Film. With the usual crappy teens being total dweebs and everyone waits in anticpation as theyre horribly ended one by one.
the other of course is a teen comedy similar to road trip. with again usual crappy teens being total dweebs and everyone waits in anticipation for them to have a horrible experince with someone gross.
If you feel you are a qualifed creative geniuse that can make a decent draft please post here.
Thanx Cartmanator |

Sorry, I'm only qualified for original stories with characters that interest the readers/viewers. Lifeless plots and characters that have been beaten to death just aren't my strong suit.

Man, you need to work on this pitch. Are you deliberately trying to make it sound awful? Are your ideas any further developed than this? If not, they are not ideas they are cliches. I don't think any writers on here need you to supply them with this great 'original' premise. If I needed ideas like this, a quick look in the big book of movie cliches would suffice. It's like saying "Hey guys, I've got this great idea, it's about this boy who.... meets a girl and they like... fall in love. Is anyone talented enough to make this work?" |

Another thing, Cartman: No one really has any success here when their first post is, "Who wants to co-write a script with me?" Or, in your case, "Who wants to write a script based on my bad idea?"
If you have any scripts, please post them. But don't tell us you want us to write your scripts so you can show them to some....people.

I'll chime in too:
No one in the industry is looking for these type of scripts at the moment - you're wasting time.
Get some feelers out and you'll find out what readers are looking for. These movies have been done to death, so they are not in demand.
Good luck! |

Have you seen some of the films these days? I think they are looking for exactly what he's selling but you are right and sadly I think someone would buy the idea. |

Thanks Wes. You got exactly what I was implying. As for the rest of you I can commend you on taking your writing so seriously then to become part of a cliche.
I myself think hollywood itself is a cliche. Some will agree, Some will beg to differ.
But if there is anyone interested in a Slasher or Road Trip comedy collaberation speak now or forever hold your peace. Because saying nothing will suffice. |

Wes - true...but remember these movies were started 1/2 years ago...the industry is ever changing.
Now - I'm not saying these scripts would not be optioned, but chances are slimmer compared to something new and innovative.
From what I've been told, expect a rush of creature features and life comedies... |

Good point mac. It might be ever changing I would think a better term would be ever rotating. Cause if it was ever changing we wouldnt see the same cliche's spit out over and over and over and over again. |

Have you ever thought of doing a stand-up act or a one man show called Banana Chan & Me?
Does your favorite song have the words "My Shhhh is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S" in it...? |
