I'm out watching The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which is the most Nick Cage movie ever! So, I'll probably start going through these tomorrow.

"It was all a dream" seems to be the most common theme of this challenge but I am enjoying the reads so far. Gonna have a break and finish the rest tomorrow.

Read all and really like where the writers took the challenge this time round. Some wacky premises and visuals and talks - quite out of the box thinking.
Nice job to all

OK, yeah… I didn’t enter this round but read and commented on them all. Quite the potpourri of scripts re: theme at hand, hat’s off to all who entered this tough challenge!

If I recall, you’re allowed to vote if you didn’t enter but commented on them all?

Not sure how that works to get a ballot…

Thanks, John… I sometimes, frequently, err… always shoot off on a tangent during my reviews, lol, but hopefully everyone caught some inspiration from my comment to keep on writing, even if subtle.

I wanted to get in on this but couldn’t find a story for the life of me, then, about two days ago remembered an Eagles Concert in my neck of the woods back in 1978.

It was the Hotel California Tour, and they played this outdoor concert at a horse racetrack right across from the perimeter highway where we lived. There was an attendance of about 27,000 people that showed, and about a thousand of those were people from the neighborhood that stormed the outer chain link fence when the Eagles went on, including all of us kids from the hood.

Anyway, next day all the kids in the neighborhood went back to scour the field, and there were a bunch of dudes already there with metal detectors mining the long (trampled) grass. Even without a detector I found like 5 bucks in change, 10 cigarette lighters, the odd keychain, etc. A mighty good haul for a 9-year-old kid just picking through the field that day… 5 bucks converted to intrinsic value back then was like 20 chocolate bars, 10 Slurpee’s, rotten teeth galore… ah, the good ol days.

Oh, and the back tower where they take the finish line video was 8mm film back then. When the film reels were spent, they would just throw a box full of them over the edge into the grass, and in those boxes were a big stack of nudie mags that we found in the hunt too, guess there’s nothing to do in those towers before post time except to get your freak on.  Thinking about all that now, I’m pretty sure there’s a bizarre script story buried in there somewhere, lol.
