Jordan,

It's these darned cataracts... After next week I can blame everything on my typing.

Back before they had caller ID, My ex got phone threats. When I would answer the phone, the guy would hang up, but when my then husband answered they told him how they were going to kill him.
We found out who it was by getting the police and phone company involved.
We got tired of the calls, and unplugged the phone one night. It's then that the guy called my father-in-law  and told him that he had killed his son, and left him in the woods across the street from our apartment.
My ex knew the guy, probably slept with his wife or girl.

You probably know who it is, too.

I hope it has stopped. Be safe. Be careful.

Cindy

That is quite a story, Cindy. My dad once got phone threats when he was a salesman for some buisness. He still is a salesman, but not for the buisness I'm talking about. Well one night at around 3:00 AM soembody called the house. Dad answered and some guy was on the other line who said that he was outside our house with a nine millimeter and threatened to kill all 6 of us in the house. So dad slams open the front door and a car pulls out of our driveway and speeds down the road. now this was 6 years ago, and we never knew who it was. It was scary because I was still awake because I was watching "The Twilight Zone." and when I saw dad open the door I went out to see what was up and the next morning he told me.
So that was pretty scary. But i think them seeing dad not afraid of them scared them. But yeah, not all death threats can be jokes. But internet death threats... I am not afraid of those at all.

I get them quite often. I'm even working (I say working very loosely) on a script about internet threats through youtube. So write a screenplay about it, hey you already have a dialogue piece written, hahaha!

Do take it seriously a bit though. If you get another one I would definately at least report it. To get the ball rolling in case something else starts happening. Sometimes it will fall on deaf ears but at least get it out there. We as writers know that there are some real crazy people in this wonderful world of ours capable of anything, hell some of us are those people!

I've never gotten a death threat. Hardly anyone even knows my email address, and my facebook honesty box messages are filled with.......well, not death threats.

Though when I was in the 5th grade, I remember reading a note that someone left saying that they were going to blow up the school. But that was mostly likely someone just messing around...
