It's back by unpopular demand. But this time there is a twist, we actually have a sponsor and prize money!! So no points this time folks, it is real greenbacks! Woowoo!!
Same rules as last year...
One pick per category, $10,000* per correct answer and -$10,000* for every wrong selection. The winner gets to be crowned Oscar champion for 2009 and of course gets to keep all the money that they have won.
Note: The following categories are fixed and new ones cannot be added, and all categories must have an answer next to them - any left blank will be treated like a wrong answer. Edits are allowed but only up until it begins of course!
Please restrict any chatter to your competition entry not have posts with just chat, will make it easier to score, there is already a thread started about the Oscars.

Okay, apologies all round. The promised sponsorship from the Zimbabwean Government has fallen through somewhat, it seems that Z$10,000 is worth slightly less than the piece of fluff I have just removed from my umbilicus, no doubt due in part to Mrs Mugabe's expensive tastes in Hong Kong real estate (don't shout at me, write to your senator!)
But thankfully Cadburys have managed to step in at the last moment.
So without further ado, the award for Oscar know-it-all 2009 is...
Wait for it... drum roll please...
It is a tie
Directoboy12 and Me! - No not Pia, me - as in me!!
(am I allowed to mention I won last year too?)
I am so happy!
Except that there was a tie-break question, Danny Boyle, the selfish bastard never mentioned India once! Though to be fair did mention Mumbai a grand total of one times.
So really I would say Directoboy12 should be declared the winner as he did suggest only once for the tie-breaker, so hopefully he is pleased too!

It is always good manners to never mention losers in these things because to be honest we are all winners really. It is the taking part that counts and nothing more.
So in the spirit of taking part I just wanted to mention that by my bad maths, and I may be wrong here, but it seems that Shelton may well have come last.
But maybe while we were all sitting on our arses watching films... Shelton was writing them!

But whatever I still hope Shelton is throwing his toys out of the pram anyway...
Seen as this is a screenwriters site it is probably fair to mention the four nominees who actually got 100% in the screenwriting awards. Mr Cornetto, Mr James, Mr bobtheballa and Mr Sniper. Well done to you.

Yeah, I definitely took a shit in regards to my picks, but I knew that from the get go when I didn't take Heath Ledger. Honestly, he was the equivalent of the free space in bingo.
I don't go to the theater to watch many films, but I did watch 6, or thereabouts, at home over the weekend, and didn't bother to change my picks (other than swapping Meryl Streep for Melissa Leo) after reading more into frontrunners and following the buzz online.
In regards to the tiebreaker question, Danny Boyle said "Indian" once.
