Quoted from SD
Okay...it's already been almost 2 years since the announcement of Indy 4.

Now it's almost four!

Yes, but at least now we know that things are moving. They start shooting in a few months, the script is done, more cast members are falling into place and there's an official release date. So all is good.

Cheers, Chismeister.

Sean Connery has made it official that he won't be returning.

Quoted Text
"I get asked the question so often, I thought it best to make an announcement. I thought long and hard about it and if anything could have pulled me out of retirement it would have been an Indiana Jones film. I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honor to have Harrison as my son. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun. I, do however, have one bit of advice for Junior: Demand that the critters be digital, the cliffs be low, and for goodness sake keep that whip by your side at all times in case you need to escape from the stunt coordinator! This is a remarkable cast, and I can only say, 'Break a leg, everyone.' I'll see you on May 22, 2008 at the theater!"

That's a nice video. How great to see Spielberg back behind the camera as well. Sure hope he enjoyed his nice vacation from directing. Cannot wait for this movie. Thanks for the heads up on the vid, man.

They were filming a scene just outside of Trumbull, Connecticut, last night.  A very important highway was closed at rush hour.

It took me an extra hour to get home from work.

Title update!

This is from http://www.comingsoon.net:

Quoted Text
/Film reports that Lucasfilm has filed for six possible titles for Indiana Jones 4 with the MPAA. The proposed titles include:

- Indiana Jones and the City of Gods
- Indiana Jones and the Destroyer of Worlds
- Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
- Indiana Jones and the Lost City of Gold
- Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Covenant

We'll have to wait and see if Steven Spielberg and George Lucas go with one of these titles or something completely different.

My vote is for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It has that 30's/40's Saturday matinee serial type of vibe to it, kinda like The Empire Strikes Back. I love that title. What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure it won't be nr. 3 or 6.

I don't think it'll be nr. 4 either.

I'm gonna go with City of Gods or Lost City of Gold.

I dunno, they could be tossing out fake titles.

But if I had to pick I'd say Lost City Of Gold as my personnal favorite

It's kinda stupid.
I really hoped Shia was kidding.
Guess not.
It doesn't really feel like an action/adventure flick to me. The others are great. Temple of Doom. Raiders of the Lost Ark. Last Crusade. They all sound AWESOME!

But Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Not so much.

Anyway, I think I found it.

The above mentioned title has been confirmed by the official Indiana Jones website. Also, the official title design has been released by Lucasfilm.

Too bad. It sounds like a straight to video B-movie starring Billy Zane.

Agreed.  In 2001 it was Indiana Jones and the Lost Continent, which I thought was pretty cool.

This just sounds dumb.
