What the hell is this?  A Second series of Batman movies?  It's been done before, and "Batman vs. Batman" doesn't really sound too interesting.  Though I've also heard of a "Batman vs. Superman" that may be in the works as horrifying as that sounds.

I tell ya, Hollywood is screwing itself in the ass.

Read the comic "The dark night returns" from the 80's batman and superman fight in it. pretty cool stuff, it's what got the oringal batman movie made in 1989.

See I liked Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as MOVIES, but in regards to their faithfulness to the Batman comics, they were terrible. I think that's the main reason why there was so much fuss over them.

I must be the only person who didn't like The Dark Knight Returns

Jeremy Irons for The Joker! in BATMAN BEYOND (or whatever they're calling it!)

I'm looking for an easy-to-produce, low-budget ($7,000) script to be shot in the U.K. Any genre. FEATURE LENGTH ONLY!

They really shouldnt make another another one. Much less do another trilogy, i mean they made all them already back in the 90's they dont need to do it again, its beeen all done we dont need to see it all again.

Penguin??? Oh no. The Joker is ENOUGH! If they're going to do a series, don't have the duo-villians like the disastrous films before!

Amen. Plus, Hoffman is SO good already, he doesn't need to do this movie. I'm sure he can pull it off, but.... Anyway, the Penguin wasn't that good of a villain in the comics either.

I don't think the joker will be in the next one, even though it would rule. the ending i belive was to set up the first oringal tim burton batman in the chance that this one failed and no sequel would be made.

people don't seem to get that these AREN'T remakes. they are individual films in a completely different franchise. they have NOTHING to do with Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin.

I know they're not remakes. I'm just nervous that this new series is going to be just like the old series. Bad. Sure, when I was twelve I loved the campy Batman flicks .. but now, only the 1989 Tim Burton's Batman can be compared to Batman Begins.

Of course I knew about Batman Begins, I just checked out the sequel thread and found out that it looks like they're making a second quadrilogy or whatever.  So long as the series makes money, sequels will keep coming out, but eventually money will stop coming in.

My money's on Batman....

Frank Miller showed it in The Dark Knight Returns that, Superman has all his powers, Batman is just more resourceful and smarter.  John Byrne did the same thing when he resuurected Superman.  When written properly, the two are great opposite sides of the same coin.  This was established in the World's Finest series.
