The man behind the glove, Robert Englund, tells Fangoria that the razor-nailed Freddy Krueger might be doing battle with Michael Myers in the next film here-Zavier |

Sounds just as shitty as all the other idea's coming out of Hollywood... Only a bit worse. Also, Jamie Lee died in the last Halloween... she said herself she's done with these movies and doesn't ever want to do one again. She even demanded that she be killed off rather quickly in the last go around "hence" her death scene was less than impressive. They had a more thought out one worked in but it never made it that far.
As for this new VS trend... they suck. They catter to one monster over the other and in the end we get watered down versions of both, cause one is the face and one is the heel. I'm sure Myers would be the "misunderstood" retard in this one.
Fuckin' terrible. |

His mask is easy, the question is why do we need another one dimensional character in a film such as MM? It'll be the same film with new "hot" Hollywood kids who need to have that horror film notch on the old belt and so on until they become washed up hasbeens like most horror film actors/actresses. |

Do the actors in your favorite horror films Balt ever have a real career after those films? Seems like only the really bad horror actors like Renée Zellweger get a career after horror. |

Freddy Vs. Michael Myers, huh? That's cute. Both franchises have been worn out like a pair of gym socks, yet they keep limping back onto the screen. The original Nightmare was a good film, I liked. The original Halloween and maybe Halloween H20 were the only decent films in that series, so why bother lagging this shit on?
Michael Myers has already died about 50 fucking times! He's not scary anymore!
Since this has become such an idiotic trend in Hollywood, you can actually pinpoint what's going to come next. ROUND 1 Freddy vs. Jason Alien vs. Predator Chucky vs. Michael Myers Scream Guy vs. The Thing Pinhead vs. Carrie Emily Rose vs. Exorcist Girl ROUND 2 Michael Myers vs. Freddy Predator vs. The Thing Carrie vs. Exorcist Girl FINALS Freddy vs. Exorcist Girl(Predator and The Thing kill each other off, hey it's Hollywood, who cares?) Then in years to come: FREDDY VS. EXORCIST GIRL 2 AND 3, ADAPTATION, REMAKE |

You went to far, that's something the "writers" on this site would do. Hollywood isn't going to do all of those, you must have spent awhile to come up with those... Are you announcing your venture into fan-fic?
Would you stop if you were making money off of mindless sheep who keep spending the cash to see the films and/or buy the DVD?
Integrity or Money... You decide which way they've went. |

You seriously think it took more than 10 seconds to come up with Emily Rose vs. The Exorcist Girl? |

I wouldn't have thought of it but I guess that's because I find the whole genre a pathetic waste of time. It's the lower genre that nobody cares about, Hollywood keeps making the films to tarnish what it used to be because they don't care about it either.
If everybody hates Horror they'll care about Drama, Comedy and so on once again. I'm actually quite happy that they keep driving in the stake killing the genre, I hope you're right about those films though.
Frankly I can't wait for television to begin showing good film previews again and not this garbage. |

No Wes, most of the movies I watch have pretty no name talent... Some are very good, some are very bad. I believe a lot of these people are famouse over in Itally or France and places like that.. but I don't believe they are famouse for the movies they make, rather the modeling side of things.
Catriona Macoll is one that is very big in Europe... But on the whole, no... I despise when these young hollywood glame girls and guys get into a horror movie just so "like you said" they can have it under their belts. Like, oh we've done that too.
Please! |

Paris Hilton would win, One Night in Paris is far worse than any Freddy film. Do bones sleep? I guess Paris needs to address that question some day when she stars in her own film "Woman Without a Brain" sorry she's done with acting, that's right. |

im willing to bet that the story to this one is Freddy has somthing to do with Micheal being crazy and killing his sister and that him and jason(if they use him) are kindred spirits, both having been screwed by freddy.
I don't think we need 2 jasons though. i still wouldn't mind a FvJ2 though. |

Apart from almost being sick reading this latest news, I cant see this happening. Although Moustapaha Akkad (the Godfather of the Halloween films) was unfortunatly killed a few days ago, his son I beleive would now be the producer of the movies. And to cut it short, they have always seen the Freddy and Jason flicks as imitations and irritations. *lol H8? They even dismissed an apparant Pinhead V Myers film, title Helloween (lol).
The day Michael Myers ends up in some ridiculous "Versus" battle with anyone is the day I die. It wont happen. Ever. Please.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Myers has too much class to be involved in this "VS" childish rubbish. Dismiss the Halloween films all you like, but as bad as the sequals are, they have tried to remain somewhat "horrific" excluding part 8. The fans wouldnt buy this VS crap.
Also this cant happen: Halloween is on Dimension films and Jason and Freddy are on New Line. Unless Halloween is now up for sale, which I seriously doubt, then this is just complete and utter bull.

Right and what makes Michael Myers any different than all the other horror bad guys who live beyond their welcome?
Freddy has charisma... I don't blame Robert Englund for trying to make money off of gullable teens, frankly he's the smartest one of the bunch. |

What makes Myers and the Halloween films different to the Elm Street and Freddy saga is a big gap and any horror fan or fan of these two films can clearly see that. Halloween is a horror series, and it has never tried to be anything else but that. It primarily sticks to the basics and that is what the fans and most horror fans want to see, which is why most people go and watch them. You know you are going to see a horror film (albeit might be unintenitionally funny but all horror films run that risk.) Nightmare on Elm Street , is something Im not really a fan of. I like the first film and I do think that Freddy was a great character in that one film. The later sequals made him out to be a witty character and they took the horror pretty much away in doing that. So in my mind, the Freddy films revolve around him and what witty line he is going to come up with next, making them a kind of spoof. Im not a fan of Freddy at all. So to put the two films together might sound ok on paper to some deluded teenager that has no idea about the history of the films, but it is impossible to work. Look at a Freddy V Jason and how awful that was, that took them years to find the right script and it was diabolical! Freddy might have charisma to people that enjoy the Nightmare films or to people who dont know much about the horror genre. To me, I think he is an idiot and an embarrasment. Michael Myers, has been in some awful films (Halloween 5,6, but has a charisma of his own that makes him popular and succesful. If you dont know, then you dont know. Thats my rant anyway. |

regardless of what these series bring, we can't forget that the sequels are made PRIMARILY for cash. They knew if they were awful they'd still get the money. Freddy may have a character but look at any of the movies did the writers or directors really give a !@#$? in the interviews they act like it, but nope, they did not. |
