What they need to do, is take a bunch of zombies, werewolves, and vampires, and pit them up against a group of mafia criminals and FBI guys.

Yeah, that would be badass.

I’ve been meaning to update this. First off, Romero announced the film ealier this month after signing a deal to write and direct it, stating the basic story sees a group of film school students who are filming a horror movie in the wilderness come under attack by zombies.

Romero also stated that even after the fourth film Land of the Dead was a studio produced film throuh Universal Studios, he and producer friend Peter Grunwald plan to produce the film themselves.

Diary of the Dead is scheduled to begin it's four week shoot in Toronto on October 11, 2006.

There are some movies coming out that are filmed from POV, like Cloverfield, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, and now this. This may just look like another zombie film, but apparently this is the very, very beginning of the zombie apocalypse that started it all, just before Night of the Living Dead (which I think Night of the Living Dead IS pretty much the beginning), but I think this is a really cool idea to finally have a POV zombie movie.

I hope it's all in POV, rather than cutting from POV to normal camera angles, and then back to POV. That'll take away the effect of actually viewing something real and it would get pretty annoying.

I hope this movie is decent when it comes out...

The trailer does look good. Bloodydisgusting.com gave it a decently positive review, so there is hope for this.
