This is just stupid. I can't believe they are making another one of these movies. The first one was OK, the second one stunk, and now 3 will be the worst horror of all time. Hollywood has become...I'll keep my thoughts to myself...

I actuallt think Saw 1 and Saw 2 weere some of the most orignal movies ive ever seen. They're terrif,c with a great ending for each and the score is perfect. So if they make a Saw 3, I'm gonna watch it.

The first one was awesome. Made me afraid of my closet and parking garages. The second one...meh not as well as teh first, but it was enjoyable. Now a third one? I hope this one is better than the second, but I don't think it will top the first. I wonder what is going to happen this time?

I actually thought the second movie was really good, even better than the first.

And Saw III's more than likely going to be in Toronto like the second Saw was.

Having seen both Saw films to date, I found the first one to just be genius and the second to be half and half. The outer storyline between the cop and Jigsaw was really good. The inner storyline in the house was standard slasher. Granted that one can't survive without the other, but the characters acted like idiots which always bugs me. Overall, the film was good, but they could have done better in the house.

And yeah, I'm a sucker for sequels, so I'll watch the third one.

I may see the third one, but I have to wait until one of my friends sees it or if someone posts a review on it on this site. I'm sure hoping it'll be better than the second.

Is this one directed by the director of the first or the director from the second second?

I think I'm going to pass on this one. The last one was so bad, I almost walked out of the theater. The only redeeming feature of that one was Tobin Bell and he's being replaced by that girl as the killer. How lame. You can count me out.

Well, on the plus side, since they're keeping the same creative team, it will have some potential. I mean, with all its shortcomings, you gotta admit that Saw II had an awesome twist to it.

Saw 1 was awesome, the ending blew me away. The second was pretty good, but definitely a step down, but mostly because of the acting and it's hard to top the first ending, but I thought it was still pretty good. I think they may be pushing it a little with the third now. They'll have to come up with a darn good story if they want to preserve what integrity it still has. And Hollywood does suck, but what do you expect? They're all about money on sequels and remakes. Everyone may say Saw III is going to suck and I'd lean towards agreeing with that, but people are still gonna pile into movie theatres to see it. (and then complain about it later)

I'll see it, and I hope I will like it, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

The first saw was amazing, the second one just felt as though it was trying to top the twist in the first one with a new better twist.  It was'nt better, and it didn't top the first one.  If I hadn't gotten that feeling I probably would hve liked it.

Saw III is probably going to hav another "Really clever twist" just to try and keep up with the second which is trying to keep up with the first and in the end, it just looks pathetic.

Saw was hype and hype kills, Hollywood doesn't suck, it's the people who write and direct the films who suck. If it sucks then Godfather, Star Wars and all your favorite films suck too. Remember they are all one in the same at the end of the day so be careful how you group them.

I have a feeling Saw is going to go down as a classic just like Friday The 13th, Halloween, and other genre landmarks. Anytime a movie like Hostel or Wolf Creek comes out, the Saw comparisons start rolling in based on the tone alone. This has happened with Wrong Turn and Cabin Fever to some extent but not nearly as much as Saw. It seems Saw has become the epitome of raw, visceral horror in the twenty-first century. While the other films are likely to be forgotten, I think Saw will become timeless. Honestly I don't think it deserves as much praise as it's been getting but the first one is still a pretty good film.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts since the series has been talked about seemingly nonstop since it started. That's quite a buzz considering it's only existed for two years.

Tobin Bell, aka the Saw horror franchise's Jigsaw/John Kramer, called TVGuide.com on Friday to discuss his MTV Movie Award nod, in the best villain category, as well as tease Saw III.

Will Jigsaw again be featured prominently or, because dude is terminal, after all, might some "new blood" seize the reins, as hinted at in Saw II? "Because we're in the middle of shooting, there's not much I can tell you about that," Bell said. "All I can say is there will be a lot of blood." Oh, yes. There will be blood. Bell went on to promise, "Saw III is going to be better than the other two. That's what we're reaching for. It's going to have a lot of great surprises and great moments. The fans will enjoy it." -tvguide.com

I hope this is the last of these films. I mean, even if Saw I and II were great, and III turns out to be pretty good, I hope they don't go and milk it for everything its worth and make another film.

I can just see it!

"After a $60 million opening weekend box office report, Saw IV will begin production next January and be ready for a Summer 2007 release!"

Lionsgate has released the official synopsis for the anticipated Saw III. The synopsis includes a spoiler if you haven't seen Saw II.

Spoilers Ahead

Jigsaw has disappeared.

With his new apprentice Amanda, the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon  is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard.

One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw, bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes Jeff, another of his victims, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them...

I liked them both, the first film being the better of the two in my opinion.
I didnt think Saw 2 was as bad as a lot of people made it out to be and found the majority of it enjoyable.
Needless to say, I will watch the new one but with lower expectations.

A description of the clip shown at Comic-Con. Written by Quint from AICN.

-------------------------------

The clip starts with a guy sitting in a chair, chains hanging off of him. The room he's in looks like a run down classroom, with table-desks stacked up on top of each other all around him. He stands. He's naked, except for boxers. There are chains attached to links in his skin. Dug into his skin. There's one in each shoulder, one on each of his hips (in the love-handle area), a couple on each arm, a couple in each achilles tendon and one big one attached to his lower jaw.

The TV in front of him turns on and it's the Jigsaw clown doll. He tells this dude that he's chosen a life in chains. That he's been in and out of prison his entire life. He now has to decide if he will end his life in chains or free himself. There is a bomb in the room counting down from 1 and 1/2 minutes. It's just out of reach. "Live or die. Make your choice."

So, the clock's counting down and he has to rip the chains from his flesh. Each chain he wrenches free, pulling up skin and causing blood to flow. The countdown is beating him. He kicks his legs forward, ripping the pin that had him through each achilles tendon, rips them out of his arms, hips, shoulders, legs. It's 10 seconds to go and he only has the one through his lower jaw left.

He strains, trying to pull the chain out. It's not giving. 3... 2... he pulls one last time... looks disgusting... 1... then cut to black and the logo: SAW 3

Just thought this was weird. They showed the Saw III teaser when I went to see The Descent and at the end, the Jigsaw puppet popped up and said "Hello, Washington DC. Do you want to play a game?" Ha! Anyone else have Jigsaw address their hometown personally?

What a terrible teaser trailer and they should really put a warning in front of the trailer.
