I could've sworn that there was already a thread for this; maybe a certain Sub-Admin deleted it due to his hatred for a certain hi-pitched annoying actor. Anyway, production is starting up on the third film and there is already some big news regarding the villain.
It seems Jean Claude Van Damme has signed on to play the villain in the second sequel. "It involves Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker getting mixed up with Triads in Paris. Van Damme spoke on a recent British TV Show about it and was looking forward to working with Jackie Chan.-AICN"

Why are they making so many films into trilogy's?!?! It's making me mad. Why not make a new film? Oh yeah...they'd probably turn that into a 10 part saga.
I liked the first one but never got around to seeing the second. But either way, even though a second film may be good doesn't give it the right to spawn off another sequel.
Aye, aye, aye.

I have known about the third film since the other two Rush Hour films. At the end in the bloopers they said "He won't be in the sequel" This film suffers because they actually paid Chris Tucker. Chris Tucker was good in Jackie Brown because they killed him. Not even Brett Ratner can make Chris Tucker look like an action star because everybody remembers him as the fruit from Fifth Element. The action in Jackie Chan films are good (Especially his early ones) but his dialogue in American movies is terrible and sometimes poorly dubbed. For that reason I do give them a chance because watching Jackie Chan do what he does for us is a special treat. He gets injured doing his own stunts when he could easily use wires or stunt doubles. (Watch Red Trousers, a documentary about Hong Kong stuntmen. Those guys are something crazy.) |

Any word if they replaced Chris Tucker with a real actor yet?
Good find there NiXon not sure why you would be on his personal website... Not to be negative but pink and Jackie Chan just don't mix. |

Last week, CHUD caught up with Brett Ratner, who revealed that he's written a role for director Roman Polanski "Hopefully Polanski's going to act in Rush Hour 3, so I created a part for him," said Ratner. "I was just having lunch with him, and I said, 'Oh my God, you have to be in Rush Hour!' We're shooting in Paris, so it's perfect."-Zavier |

How does the guy who made X3 and soon Wolverine lower himself to pay Chris Tucker one more time?
Quoted Text Salary Rush Hour 3 (2007) $25,000,000 Rush Hour 2 (2001) $20,000,000 Rush Hour (199 $3,000,000 Money Talks (1997) $2,000,000 |
Jackie doesn't even get paid as much as Tucker and he's the star. He's the reason anybody goes to see these films. |

If you were Chris Tucker, and you were a part of a (semi) decent franchise, and you realised how annoying you were, wouldn't you demand a higher fee, and then sit on your ass and only make that one film?
I would.
I'm not a fan of the guy. Heck, I loath Rush Hour II... but I'm impressed that he's managed to - in the minds of the studio - become so integral that he earns said keep. |

Kino-Govno.com has gotten their hands on the teaser trailer for Rush Hour 3. The page is in Russian, but you should still know where to click. (Next to the little Quicktime icon) -Zavier |

Even if it's a absolutley woeful movie the bloopers reel at the end will make up for it. I admire Jackie Chan for that reason, his movies always have a decent bloopers reel. |

I have to agree.
There is something extremely satisfying about seeing Jackie Chan being injured in various, hilarious ways over and over and over and over and over.........
Cheers, Chismeister. |

I like Jackie Chan i have to say but i can't say the same for Chris Tucker. I do not like Tucker and i disagree with the amount he is being paid for this movie and the amount he gets paid for his movies in general. |
