According to bloody disgusting.com a fourth Saw film will instantly begin prepping if the third film in the franchise is a sucess. They were also informed that if a fourth film happens, Tobin Bell will return as Jigsaw.

note:

This will be the last Saw thread allowed on this board. If they actually make a fifth film, I'll blow my goddamn brains out.

I hate how they totally burn ideas to death. Seriously, can't they create a new idea instead of keep remaking the same stuff.

Same shit different day...

If anyone in Hollywood is reading this, here's my statement. 'Get Original'.

Keyword: if

I know I am kind of breaking the rules Bert set out for us, since I have no information to give about the movie, but I just think that the first one was best, the second one ruined it, and the third one is probably going to do even worse. Now a fourth one?

Exactly, these guys just do things to the death. They need new flesh, writers like us. I know a great deal of us writers have the talent needed to write a better movie then the crap out there now.

Oh, and contributing to the movie.

1 was great...

2 was horrible...

3 will be okay...

4 will kill the franchise.

If it's some how related to the film being discussed in that particular thread then you can discuss it. People should just try to avoid one-line responses like “This will suck” or “Oh my God, this will kick so much ass”.

Well if people pay to see it, then these films will be made.

And that means these films are in demand.

So unless people make original horror films, then they will continue to milk the cow of the latest horror hit.

I dont care if they make 10 of these films as long as they are entertaining. I personally think Saw 3 will die an early death and there wont be a fourth, but good luck to those that made it.

They're really whipping out these movies at a quick pace. They're enjoyable flicks to watch. It's not Gone With the Wind, it's just a gorey little movie that tries to entertain you. I have no problem with them making more I guess. The series will die when people stop watching them.

C'mon, the first was brilliant and the start of something awesome. The second was great for entertainment value and was, to be honest, just as good as the first. The third I'm just hoping will be different as the the other two enough that it will be a success, leaving the forth to be made ending the franchise with a bloody brilliant ending.

They used two fingers for the Saw II promo poster, they're using three bloodied up teeth inside someones bloody mouth for the third, what will they use for the forth do you think?

Four bloody hooves left on a bathroom floor!... Now that would be pretty weird. i think that's where they'll be heading once they run outta ideas.

Yeah, I've been thinking all day about they would use. I can't think of anything on a human body except normal things like the big toe being cut off leaving the four other toes... OR four rusty nails hammered into an arm, leg, head or hand. That would be a cool one.

I'm sure they'll be able to come up with plenty of gory, inventive deaths for the characters for many films to come. What remains to be seen is if they can churn out good stories at the same time. And they're gonna have to think really hard for the next one, or two, or whatever, because very soon the films will be suffering the same fate as M. Night Shyamalan's;

People going in EXPECTING a big twist ending, and getting their hopes ridiculously high and being disappointed.

OR

People spending the whole running time looking for the big twist, getting it right, complaining that the twist was obvious, and being disappointed.

"Are you saying I'm crazy!?"
"Oh no, but I'm certainly thinking it loudly"

The studio execs are simply doing what they do to pretty much every profitable franchise: they're running it into the ground. Let us all sit back and enjoy how far this series is going to fall. Because you just know they're not going to stop at 4. They might not even stop at 5.

Cheers, Chismeister.

A cool new horror-movie haunt, FEARnet, was on the set of the forthcoming “Saw IV” and got the scoop on what the film’s about :

According to the site:

Quoted Text
”Jigsaw still haunts the living in "Saw IV," forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of "Saw III," Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before it's too late.”

The site also has some on-set pics from the film up.

I don't think I've even heard of that site. Anyhow, is it usually a reliable source of info? If so, that might be an interesting story to follow through with.
