Sorry Zack, looks like utter s hit IMO. The first one was surprisingly entertaining (no thanks to the director). The second one was awful. Trannie d icks are not funny. They're just trannie dicks. What's the big deal?

Watched the entire trailer without cracking a smile.

Yeah I'm on the fence with this one.  The first one was pretty funny but I think they're just recycling the same story over and over, sorta like those paranormal activity movies.

The trailer did make me smile a couple times but not prepared to fork up 10 bucks for it.

I thought the giraffe gag was funny...
Until Zach didn't even care what happened to the tall critter.
He looked all callous and killed the joke!

Why didn't he get all upset and crying?
Come on, Alan in the first film would have.
I guess the characters are all too cool to emote anymore. *sigh*

The only thing I like about the entire series is Mr. Chow.

I thought the trailer was alright. Certainly nothing special. I suppose it could go either way.

I thought the original was actually really funny for a film with so many obvious gags. I think it was ultimately a case of memorable characters and great actors having a lot of chemistry. You really can't go wrong with that. I also think Todd Phillips is exceptionally good for a comedy director. He actually has an eye for visuals and can make even his bad films look classy.

I hated the second one. I mean, I can understand the pressure to up the ante for Part II but just about none of it was funny, just raunchy and sleazy. The ending also left me somewhat disturbed as I'm pretty sure it glossed over the fact that a certain character's life (or at least career) is probably ruined forever. No joke.

One thing I can't get past in the series as a whole is why Stu and what's-his-face would ever hang out with Alan again. As much as this is probably intentional, the guy is seriously nuts (in a bad way) and a lot of what he pulls doesn't enhance the mayhem so much as just flat out fucks the other guys over.

We'll see, I suppose. Can't say I'm looking all that forward to it though.

I can't believe they're making a third film.  The first was pretty funny but the second was juat a revamp of the same story and so I think I can see where the third is heading already....Saying that, as I have a monthly cinema pass I'll probs go see lol.

I read somewhere that they tried not to show all the funny scenes in the trailer and instead just a few gags and action shots. I think this movie will surprise people.

Eek.  I *loved* the first one.

Thought the second one was a rehash, and completely unnecessary.

Given that, I have no urge to see #3....  But it's not surprising that they're seeing how much mileage they can get out of the concept....

I'm in! Probably no where near the first one as far as being original or funny but like Zach pointed out I'm sure it will surprise. That's the problem we have these days. Someone comes up with a great concept and they make sequel after sequel until it's not great anymore. Too bad. I did like the first one but the second one wasn't that good. Hopefully the third, we'll see.

Agreed! Ken Jeong is great. I liked the first one and the sequel had its moments although it was just a repeat.

I didn’t find much in the trailer to wow me but I did think the giraffe bit was funny. Taking over from the Tyson's tiger no doubt.

I really liked the first Hangover film.  It was great.  Alan is one of the great comedic movie characters of the past couple years.  He and Mr. Chow are what I really enjoy most about the series.

The second seemed like it took the entire, "the same thing, only bigger" sequel rule to literal.  It was quite a re-hash.  But I don't understand how people would hate it.  I thought everyone worked great together, Mr. Chow was so much funnier, and Alan was a hoot.

This looks good.  It seems like they're shaking it up way more and derailing from the precious plot-routes of the first two movies, which is great.  I thought the trailer wasn't even that funny (even though I enjoyed it) which is good, because it makes me feel like they're not giving too much away and are keeping the best moments under wraps for the movie release.

I agree though about Alan and the giraffe.  Alan is a monkey-loving, animal-loving bad-ass.  He seemed to shrug the entire giraffe thing off.

To me, The Hangover is overrated, and I'm not a big fan of the sequel either.

I think the only laugh-out-loud part in II was when Chow passed out from snorting massive amounts of blow.

I'll probably go see III anyway - something to do over a weekend.
