You may have noticed that the site has been unavailable off and on for the last couple of weeks...  This is due to a denial of service attack on the site.

Who would want to DoS attack this site? Not sure what anyone would get out of it. Revenge for a bad review, perhaps? So easy to do this sort of thing these days. Free software abounds. At least it's just a single user. I suppose it comes down to a battle of isolating his IP, shutting it down, he/she needing to reboot to another IP and so on and so on until he/she gets bored.

What a ball ache. I remember battles with similar trolls in the past and even once having a website hacked. They left a trollpage with their monickers all over it. Those monickers actually enabled me to trace them as they were their gamer tags. I infiltrated their FB pages and found out where they, a group of 15-year-old boys, lived in Liverpool. I then threatened to 'tell their moms' if they didn't stop fucking with me. It worked. They ran a hacking site too... that I don't want to name. I actually got along with them in the end and learned some cool shit. I just checked and they're still running the hacking site. They run it under the guise of internet security... but you never want to let those guys in through your back door. They would certainly help secure your site but they would forever have the site in their back pocket.

Disgruntled writer seems the likely motive. Some very sad individuals out there.

Maybe in the past tense you could call it that... these days, most of my time is spent at a PC writing. I also have five responsibilities who I need to ensure don't fuck up half their lives like their dad did.
