I like this too, Sandra!!

I'm still trying to work with context and there you go, Jeff!

But yeah, I know you know that I know what you mean.

They're still good. Just that they need to be relevant and not Christmas Trees.

Is that what I said?

Ok I've read another batch tonight... some really good scripts in the batch I read tonight.

I have four more to go and hopefully my boss will go away long enough for me to do that.

Really like this challenge.

Thanks all.

No I just did what I normally do with a new scripts, check reddit and Craigslist for anything that might fit and send it to all the producers I've met over the last 12 months, mainly from other projects that have been taken from SS.

Sometimes you get a bite.

Congratulations Warren! Didn't that happen last OWC too?

Someone contacted me yesterday about The Riding Hoods Creed. That was a OWC script too, but a long time ago. Maybe even three years. I can't remember. Filmmakers are definitely scrounging the scripts at SS.

Dena and I are also in pre-pro on Coulrophobia. Another OWC script. I think that was the elevator one. We're having an elevator prop built even.

Since I've been here since the beginning of time, seems like, I can definitely say that overall, the OWC scripts have definitely improved in quality.

It does amaze me (in a nice way) how old scripts get picked up. I always thought the interest would come shortly after they are posted but it can be years down the line so you never know.

I'm really pleased with the feedback on mine and have had some excellent suggestions so after the challenge, I'll do another draft and then see if I can get this produced. May even produce it myself if no-one bites.

I had a short from a one week challenge a little while back, "Roadside Attraction," filmed in LA last year. Starred Dee Wallace ("ET", "Cujo").  Got renamed "Country Road 12".  Was screened at the Atlanta Underground Film Festival last week, and has also been accepted by the Burbank International Film Festival and the Chicago HorrorFest.

So Pia's right. Producers are definitely looking at these challenges as a way of finding scripts, so writers should definitely be putting their best efforts into these!

Gary

The Family Man (short) - filmed

Hi Pia,

I wasn't in the last OWC, but I do have a current option on Ugly Beautiful which was an OWC script from a few challenges ago. It was picked up by a Turkish producer. That does seem like one of those options that just fades to nothing though.

Mark, after your comments I'm almost 100% sure what you wrote

Works the same way with features, I had one picked up from here recently that was listed in 2015. I can't say much more about it at the present time, unfortunately. So it's worth keeping those features coming too.

Nice, Warren! I was hoping some options would come out of this.

Anyone have guesses on who wrote what?

I have Dustin down for Numbers of the Beast. His writing style, plus he said his story would have testicle dice. This one had a reference to those balls. Baoding balls.

I agree with Dan for This is Satan.

Dustin's is too obvious. I can't tell because I'm thinking it's a correct guess.

I thought Sunset View was Dave's, but Dave is not in.

God Does Not Play Dice - James

I'm pleased with the comments and suggestion on mine too. I'll do another draft, should be easy.
