Love this author.

He has a new one out which I got from the library the other day. Called 'The Abominable'.

Very similar concept to his 2007 novel 'The Terror', in that he takes an event from history that is shrouded in mystery and creates a horror story.

This one is based on the disappearance of Mallory and Irvine on Everest (I have a fascination about all things Everest so double bonus for me, lol) in 1924. He intertwines it with the myth/legend of the Yeti.

One of his first novels was 'Carrion Comfort' from 1989, a horror novel just ripe to be a mini series. 'The Terror' - which is based on the real life disappearance of a whole ships crew in Greenland in the 19th century - is due to be a TV movie next year, according to imdb.

Anyway, this latest novel is brilliant so far and I can't wait to hop into bed soon and keep reading. No wonder my writing gets neglected - I have too many good books to read, lol
