OK, Balt.  Sounds good.  I didn't mean to start a shit storm today, I just wondered if I had missed something, as I didn't see your script anywhere.

Best on your time off and hope to see you back soon!

Knew we could flush you out...

Seriously, it is a bit dramatic, your exit and all.

If you wanted to slip away quietly, why not just do so?

Might want to change your sig, as not to alarm future posters and start this whole tragic exit thing up again.

Take care man.

I don't know if Rendevous knows/remembers me - but I always liked his comments and thought he was very kind...and a good writer by the way - so I miss him. Very funny too and "funny" is always fun!

Baltis was kind too (as I know him)  - not that it's good or bad, just I remember him as being very thoughtful and kind.

So I'll miss both of them.
Anybody knows if Rendevous gone for long?

I also stand up for ren here. A clever, witty and original guy - I agree he's a good writer. Fact is, some people here are way too sensitive and take comments here far too seriously. If you are so sensitive, you have no chance of a career in filmmaking, for sure. We're just a bunch of people on the Internet who are unlikely to meet one another, and therefore cannot make good appraisals of character. Who cares if someone makes a shitty comment? It's so insignificant - don't hold onto the hate. We're all guilty of it, sure but it's so futile. This site may switch from being a fantastic resource for writing into an online squat of anger and geeky testosterone.

Ren isn't the only one out the doors; Sniper, col (maybe not for good), alffy, Craig Cooper and more have left. All good readers, all good writers. We shouldn't hemorrhage talent from the site if we want it to be a screenwriting domain; however, these endless cases of bickering will ensure it continues.

In much wiser words: "Cultivating a close, warmhearted feeling for others is the ultimate source of success in life", or "It is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives." Let's not forget what drew us here and what we can contribute to one another's screenwriting growth, maturity and success... even if we think they're an asshole!

Lots of people have left. some have even told me it's because they're tired of the bickering and negativity.

That's honestly why I took such a long break from the site.  For awhile, every-single-day a fight was erupting and - surprise, surprise - no one was writing.

I came back because, well...I love you guys.
