Can anyone tell me how to insert a photo in a discussion board reply?

Try putting [img] at the beginning and [/img] at the end. That works when I just copy and paste an image (like this one below) and surround it with that code.
Is it you sunning yourself in St. Tropez?
If that doesn't work put it on imgur or Photobucket, Instagram or similar, and then link to the photo. Unless of course, someone has a simpler idea.

Thanks. I did try the copy/paste between the image brackets but couldn't get it to work. Will try the other.
