Hello everyone,

I need a secondary writer for a romance/drama/thriller series I'm writing. It is called ELIZABETH MANSION. This series will last for about 160 episodes, so that writer must be ready and in top form, so we can release one episode at least once a week, maybe once every two weeks. The writer can be of any kind, of course with the knowledge of correct formatting.

It goes like this: that writer writes an episode. If I think it's suitable, i'll then RE-WRITE is again, and we'll both decide if it's good enough or not.

If you are intrested in this, or for more information, please PM me. I really do need another writer for this, as I cannot do it alone.

Thank-you,

Curse!

160 episodes? Is it a soap opera?

What is it about? It sounds like a period piece.

What are your plans for the series?

I think he means it would last that long. So if 24 has 24 episodes a season just add 24 up to a higher number and it's probably what he means... But you never know.

He's turning into bartman Dogglebe ha-ha

Soaps are really hard to write, you probably won't find many people willing to take that much time to write 1 hour series because you cannot have a 21 minute Soap at least I would say not.

I was a member of a 1 hour series at one time and it was just to demanding if I wanted to ever write my own work again.

You should team up with kevin Revie as you guys are a match made in heaven, at least Greg thinks so with his comments.

Curse, you still haven't told us what it's about.

Where is it set?

Who are the characters?

What is the hook?

I doubt you'll get any interested parties unless you give them just a little info about what they'll be writing.

Hey all,

I'm writing about the characters, storyline etc... right now in NOTEPAD. I'll post it as soon as it's done.

Dogglebe, I am planning to direct TRAPPINGS (Short, By Bert) in February.

Wes, each episode will be 30-40 minutes long. I didn't want it an hour-episode. Me and Kevin Revie are matchmade in heaven?

Anyways g2g,

Curse!

Rather than just write out stuff about the story, you should write the first few episodes as well before expecting anyone to come on board with you. You should also have completely written the series bible containing EVERYTHING you want in the series and everything you want out of it. Personally, I would want this before signing on to anything, so I know the writer is capable of carrying the series on their own, if necessary. If this is a series worth writing, coming up with all this should be relatively easy (even if you bounce ideas off of other people). If you need help from the beginning, you may not be ready to create a series. If you can't carry your own series, don't expect anyone else to.

I created 2 series before I got the feel and you've done zero but hype up scripts and than say Oops it was deleted. I agree with George here as he knows what he's talking about... Nobody on this site is going to write episodes for you until you prove you're a writer and a damned good one as you'd need to be to produce a good Soap.

You need a team of writers, not just 1 other guy. Thinking you can write one with two people even 3 is really... Well you know.

Good luck though, I have confidence in you.

Rory Morgan (20) - Son

Edith Smith (55) - Maid/House-keeper for Kollins Family

Edward Jones (52) - Husband
Eva Jones (50) - Wife
Carrie Jones (25) - Daughter
Sineshta Jones (25) - Son

Steve Madec (30) - Brother
David Madec (31) - Brother

Rachelle Damer Lawrence (25) - No Family

Sasha Kollins (39) - Husband
Jem Kollins (35) - Wife
Maggie Kollins (17) - Daughter

Mary Binaldi (50) - Mother
Stefan Binaldi (22) - Son

Teya Black (25) - Daughter
Mortimer Black (55) - Father

Liam Carsen (26) - Son

That's it - for now. I'm still setting up scenarios, I'm writing some descriptions for Episode 3 at the moment.

Thanks,

Curse, here's a piece of advice for you.  Stop plugging your work so far in advance.  Start writing this project of yours and we'll see it when you post it.

So you are guarenteeing us a whopping 160 episodes? Don't take this in offense, but I don't see why so much is needed. That is a good number, but it just worries me that this series will make it to episode 8 and you will be thinking. " Forget it."

Maybe you should write a few episodes by yourself before asking for some more writers. Give us a feel of the series, and wait for someone to offer you their services in writing.

Trust me, that would be a better approach at getting a secondary writer for your series.
