Hi, I hope everyone is doing well. I’m from Spain and I’ve always liked writing. It has been in these last years when I finally decided to go for it. it was the day I saw Inception… I was studying creative literature as well, but nothing as serious as finishing a script.

I studied video film in the US and I wrote shorts and stuff, but again, nothing too serious. I’m a film buff and professional video editor, or I was. I was stuck working in TV, but I decided to quit. After that I’ve lived in London, the Philppines and I’m currently in Canada studying VFX. It will kill me… if writing in my second language doesn’t do it before.

I classified for the semifinals in Bluecatscreenwriting. Finalist will be announced the 1st. I have a new draft, shorter and I think it’s better. I’m really close to finish another one, which would be my third script. However, I’d love if someone could read my final draft, in case I’ve messed with prepositions or something… It’s the one on semifinals, so it’s proof read, but after so many readings and years…

may thanks and hi to everyone again.

Hi Brightside...  Welcome to Simplyscripts!  How long is the script (short or feature), and is there a link to it that you could post?  (Congratulations in all you've done thus far; I can't even imagine what it would be like to try to write creatively in a language other than English...)

Best,

--Janet (Wonka)

Hi Janet,

Sorry, I should've made it clear first. It is a feature film, the new draft  is 116 pages long. The one that is currently in competition is 124. I mainly cut to make it more agile, but I added some new stuff that needs to be checked. And I have brief character descriptions, specially one, that I'm not sure if it has the intention I want it to have.

I haven't posted it anywhere. Maybe email. or i can try to post it later somewhere. I just started with this forum thing.
