What were Corey Feldman and Joe Pantoliano like? I get the impression that old Corey isn't doing so great these days...I didn't know what to think when I saw him in Toxic Avenger 4.
Oh and for the record, I also didn't know what to think when I noticed that my browser was downloading a gif entitled "asianballs".
Hi hon,
Corey Feldman was really lovely in real life. I have the video of when I met him in 2003, when I gave him a copy of my script. It's on my website here if you want to check it out and you can see for yourself how he is -
- Just click on the moving rainbow ribbon icon and it will go to that video of him, Robert Davi and Sean Astin. There are other fan-made ones below that one if you're interested or bored.
Corey was very grounded, very polite , friendly and you could say appreciative of his fanbase. His wife was lovely too and pretty hot in real life. He had a lot of Lost Boys fans keen to meet him too. He blew me away in fact.
Joey Pantoliano was.............. an a**hole. Forgive me, but I did not like him. He was up his own backside, for reasons unbeknownst to me and he just came across like he was better than Goonies and didn't seem to embrace my love of it, unlike the way the other 3 actors did. In fact, he actually made me cry! I will admit that. I was so disappointed that he was a real jerk, that I almost vowed to never meet another one of my favourite actors again, in case they didn't live up to my expectations. Plus he wouldn't let me film him. Grrr.
The other 3 couldn't have been nicer. Robert Davi (who was also in License to Kill) was my favourite, because he was just everything I hoped he would be and more. I actually look like an idiot in that video cos I cried when I met him! See, he got choked up after I gave him my script and after I told him how hard I worked on it to be able to give it to him in time. His reaction got me bawling like a big baby. How embarrassing eh?!
HOWEVER, when I interviewed Sean Astin in 2005 back inside the Goonies house where his character lived, he had clearly changed in the 2 years it had been since I met him. Lord of the Rings certainly went to his head. Pity.
Get this - when a journalist friend of mine asked him what he was thinking at that precise moment of being back at the house, for nostalgia etc, he said this and I quote - " My mind is vast. I have many thoughts about many things" - yeah..... okaaaaaaaaay, Sean.
So all in all, Corey rocks and Joey sucks.
Sorry for the long-winded story! Andy xxx
PS - The asian ball vid had me in stitches when I first saw it. I nicked it from my friend on the goonies forum, cos it's so darn addictive to watch.
Are you drinking pumpkin pie soda with a picture of a dog dressed like what appears to be a rabbit on the label? What in the name of...
That's part of the novelty of Jones.
They put out these odd flavors around Thanksgiving like Turkey and Gravy, Stuffing, Pumpkin Pie, and I think two others (Cranberry & Brussel Sprouts?) There was a set of one of each flavor at Target.
Plus people can send in random pics. If the people at Jones like it, they'll put it on a label.
It's a soda company with a large cult following, and if I do say so myself, the creme soda and root beer are fantastic.
AHHHHHHH The only one I actually tried (other than cranberry which was fine) was stuffing. I feel like the queen from macbeth "all the something in arabia could not cleanse the blood from my hands!" or something like that. I felt the same way except with nasty crap on my tongue.
Those flavors are incredibly strong aren't they? They stick with you! In my senior year I brought the potatos to school in my backpack, and after they were opened and passed around and then spit out, the stench stayed in the backpack!! It was awful!!! It took a few sprays of cologne to nutralize the smell.
hahaha good times. I dare you to chug the turkey&gravy!
These pics have been on my myspace for some time. I had forgotten that I had never put them up here:
All of these were taken by a wonderful girl. The first is me emulating a load screen from "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," the second is me looking extra crazy, and the third is my smoking-is-so-cool pic (kids, don't smoke).
