Well hi there everybody! Long time lurker first time poster on this site! , so I guess a bit about myself, Im 22, living in the midwest and have always been interested in screenwriting since I was a kid (wish to make it my job someday). And of course really looking to hone my craft on this site since I've always felt like my screenwriting abilities have always been very sloppy and in need of tightening. So just posting to say hello!
My advice, read scripts (preferably from long time members since they'll respond back), leave reviews (all type of reviews are welcomed), and be strong (if you plan to submit, be prepared for harsh criticism. it comes with the territory).
Gabe
Just Murdered by Sean Elwood (Zombie Sean) and Gabriel Moronta (Mr. Ripley) - (Dark Comedy, Horror) All is fair in love and war. A hopeless romantic gay man resorts to bloodshed to win the coveted position of Bridesmaid. 99 pages. https://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?b-comedy/m-1624410571/
Take Gabe's advice, read plenty and learn the basics. Submit and clench for the feedback. Only joking, you'll learn lots here. The reviews can be harsh but they're honest and that's what you need to improve your skills. We're all friends here....well most lol.
Enjoy.
Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.
You'll learn lots here? The reviews are honest? We're all friends?!
I kid, I kid. That's all true.
Welcome to the forums, Bobby.
My own small piece of advice. If you really want to make a career of screenwriting, something you can live off of, you need to engrave in your mind "high concept" and execute it.
It's a Quid Pro Quo world here, so get in and start reading and offering your feedback. You don't need to know anythign technically to know whether or not you like a story, plot, characters, and dialogue. The basics - read as many scripts as you can and you'll see quite a difference between the good, the bad, and the fucking really ugly.
Honesty is always appreciated, as it's really the only way to gauge your work.

Welcome to a great place, and you will learn tons here.
This is where my spaceship landed..it's like somewhere over the rainbow...doesn't matter what you need...there's a wizard here for everything. Just follow the yellow brick road and watch out for the little people...one in particular named Rumpis. And if you ever feel like you need the ruby slippers...they aren't here anymore(I hid them far far away)...
You are in the right place, I have been reading and posting on SS for a few months now and have learn't so much thanks to all the good and disheartening posts about my screenplays.
If you help others on SS they will return the favor.
It's a place of quick learning.
Welcome and I would be happy to read your SP's and give advice.
