I was just going to add: Any questions feel free to ask, but I have my own question, Stacee...

What was the process for getting an Option with Netflix??

Sorry for the late reply!

It was all through my agent! It's a lengthy process and it's taking months, but it'll be all worth the wait if they proceed with it! I wouldn't write more than just a pilot script if you're writing a series.  Don't pick the cast, don't do anything over the top with it. Make sure you have your story bible/pitch ready, too, because it's VERY important.

I haven't gotten in with a movie, yet. I haven't finished my script for it, but I plan on producing that. Movies are a lot easier to get revenue back for investors than television series are, so movies are a better bet in the long run.

I've had a lot of people turn me down and tell me to make my tv series into a movie, but I didn't. I just kept improving the script and it's now in a powerful place. (Reminds me of Stranger Things)

Stacee, thanks so much for the reply and thanks for the elaboration.

I'm thinking you must have done something great to get that Agent in the first place. It's a chicken and egg situation with a lot of us writers.

All the very best with the Option. Hope all comes to fruition and we can all watch it.

SS is a great place for getting exposure for your work, meeting (at least virtually) other writers etc.

I hope you'll post some of your other work sometime soon, even if a WIP
