The primary purpose of the SimplyScripts Discussion Board is the discussion of unproduced screenplays. If you are a producer or director lookng for your next project, the works here are available for option, purchase or production only if you receive permission from the author.
NOTE: these screenplays are NOT in the public domain and MAY NOT be used or reproduced for any purpose (including eductional purposes) without the expressedwrittenpermission of the author.
I can put up a basic WP/ecommerce website in a couple of hours and fill it with content (placeholder but relevant)... it's just so boring. So, yeah, I get it. Especially when it comes to editing images and things like that. I imagine Weebly et al will make things more difficult as in not offer enough features too. I hate the back end to those things.
And I'm the kinda guy who doesn't like reading directions. I just kinda fiddle around and see wht I can do. And these days I barely have any time for writing, let alone build a website, with commitments and such. Big difference from where I was last year at this point.
First off, I'm from Massachusetts. Which means, I truly appreciate the picture of you drinking a cup of dunkin's. No qualms there for me.
The screenplays loaded nicely.
Simply navigation. Easy to use.
My only suggestion would be instead of the names of the pdf's as the links, is there a clip art of GIF of a screenplay you could place in each location instead? I think that would look cool. Just my opinion of course.
Thanks for having a look. It needs work, that much is true. Someday when I have more time to myself. However, just made my first “sale” from a director who found a script on the site, so I guess it’s doing what I want to do so far!
