Well when he did die, I think we all knew he was coming back, I mean, you can't kill him off! Btw when Sam died I didn't buy that he was dead. Devastator was awesome though!
Isle 10- A series I'm currently writing with my friend Adam and it will go into production soon. Think The Office meets 10 Items or Less.
about your review Ayham the robo-girl is a pretender, they have been in the transformers universe for a long time and also about optimus not being able to be ressurected with the allspark probally because when megatron was ressurected they used spare parts from a transformer and the autobots wouldn't do that.

Here's the real question... How did Megatron kill Optimus if only a "Prime" can kill a Prime?
I went to see this last week only because it is the first big blockbuster in my memory that was released in Britain before America, normally we have to wait!
Special effects were impressive, but how many of the male audience would have asked for their money back if it wasn't for THAT first shot of Megan Fox leaning over a motorcycle?
It basically had all the problems of the first one, which made it so that I didn't really like it all that much. I can say, however, it wasn't awful, which I guess is saying something.
However, I really think that the film could have benefited from taking itself more seriously. There was a lot of really dark/harsh stuff going on and the impact would have been so much greater if the film wasn't littered with bad attempts at humor. I mean, it could have started off with some light humor but once the film got going they should have given it a rest.
True, I don't really like her either but you must admit she's hot. Did anyone think Shia was good in the film? I did. People are all like "He's such a good actor" and he is, but these are just action films. So I don't think he's tapped into everything he has yet.

Just finished watching this on Sky Anytime. Saw it was available, thought "hey, I haven't experienced intense sensory bombardment for a while", so I gave it a go.
What kills this film stone-dead is its length. About 50 minutes in I was enjoying it, thinking maybe it had been given a pretty harsh rap...then I checked and saw there was another HOUR AND A HALF to go. And then once they got to Egypt it just started to drag on.
And on.
And on.
It takes Sam what, half an hour, to do the last two miles (as he says) to get back to Optimus Prime? And then he resurrects him, and the final showdown that's been thousands of years in the offing and has taken well over two hours to build to is over in about five minutes. One missile - bang, the sun-eating-thing is blown up. Two minutes of fighting, the Fallen is dead, and Megatron runs away. Great. That was worth waiting for. At least the final battle in Avatar was an exciting climax to the movie. This just felt like it had wasted my time.
So yeah - had this been a standard 120-minute picture, I think it would actually have been pretty decent. I would have been willing to overlook the clunky, video game dialogue, the annoying camera movement Bay uses, Megan Fox's 'performance' (it's not that she's a bad actress, she just can't act. It's not her fault - it's like sticking her out on a football pitch and telling her to score a hat-trick). But it was SO LONG. Far too long. If he'd trimmed off half of the slow-motion, that would be a start. You'd probably lose 20 minutes with that alone.
By the end, it alll felt self-indulgent and slightly out of control. As if they thought, "hey, we paid to do all this stuff, we have to put it in!" No. You don't. Spare me, and get on with it. Please.
To be honest, I never really saw what was so bad about this. I mean it wasn't perfect, but considering the first one, I kind of knew what to expect, so I went in open-minded and left the theater with no disappointments.
Then again, I am easily pleased and I enjoy Megan Fox (she's one of the only things in the movie people talk about, such a goddess<3), so make of that what you will.

I enjoyed it, but like you felt that the Egypt battle scene was far too long and it was deeply dull and repetetive. Basically the same scene played over and over again for what seemed an enternity whilst the actual important action was taking place at the Pyramid with John Turtoro.
As usual, less tends to be more. Like the Phantom Nenace, when you have multiple story-lines going on at once, each of them tends to lose focus and emotional power. Better that all the story-lines tie in and end up at the same place.
Looking back i think i over did it with my review(like I almost always do), but I still can say that I did enjoy this brainless hunk of metal for what it was, a massive popcorn flick. Looking forward to part 3.
