Guillermo del Toro is the producer of this collection of one hour horror episodes. Each show is directed by a different director and they seem to be mostly based on short stories. They all have a real high quality look and feel to them. They are not edge of your seat peek between your fingers kind of horror stories, but definitely creepy enough and have ironic satisfying endings. At least the three I've watched so far. I highly recommend this. No screaming teenagers getting chopped up or in gratuitous sex scenes. Just the right amount of mood, feel and tone for a Halloween curl up on your couch and enjoy kind of thing.

Yeah, loving this series, episodes vary in quality (as you'd expect) but great stories, great production and top notch casts too... episode 3 is highlight for me so far.

I love Jennifer Kent and she wrote/shot episode eight. I'll have to watch it.

Watched #4 last night. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite. Probably because I personally hate women like that. Add that they all looked grotesque. Not sure if that was editing software, camera lenses or make-up or all of the above.

I am digging this so far. The Autopsy was fantastic. This has been a very well-crafted and inventive series thus far. I'm looking forward to watching more.

Yeah, this episode was strange, and the ending was weird as fuck. But I thought her staring into a fish-eye lens for a long-drawn-out process for the final was ingenious TBO.

I got the consensus the director was trying to capture (on screen) her former personality fighting (literally and figuratively) with her newfound plastic reality that she sought after the entire show. She wants to fit in, but consciously realizes it’s going to destroy her former self… and the heinous things she's already done to achieve the transformation. Bizarre.

Totally agree with James and Anthony re: Episode #3 The Autopsy. The writing, cinematography, and soundtrack were exceptional. Even the flashbacks and timeline were well-done. A clever example of expressing the protagonist's thoughts without being on-the-nose.
