Wow. I’m shocked. There were some real strong entries. I honestly thought I’d finish around fourth.

Thanks for all the congratulatory messages.

Also, thanks to all the readers. I got some great notes and I’m excited to implement many of them.

First I have to decide: cut it to 8 pages or expand it to around 20.

I’m out right now, but I’ll come back later and give a few shout outs to my faves. There were 3 that really stood out to me.

Thanks again everyone!

Congratulations Paul! Cold Blood was excellent.

Sickening Desires and The Art of War were other favorites of mine. Congratulations to all the runners up and rest of the writers too. Everyone did a pretty amazing job.

Well I guess gruesome and gruesome crazy tale is what you might want out of a horror :p

I don't recommend anyone read it.

Congratulation to the winner and the runners up!

Thanks Steve for putting on a great OWC!

A little lower participation than expected, but I think that has more to do with the boards being slower in general. Which is kind of sad, but I guess that's just how it goes.

I’ve actually thought about this a little, wondering if it was the criteria I supplied, the slower boards, people’s individual time restrictions, etc. I guess I was expecting 25-30 entries. You’re not going to be able to please everyone - I realized that long ago.

But one reason (excuse) stands out - I think I might have done it too early.

Warren, you cometh and then goeth.    What was up with that?

The error is mine.  Warren asked that it be pulled.  I didn't want to delete it from the new google spreadsheet I created for scoring.  I figured that I'd just remove it before posting, which I clearly didn't do.

Apologies. I will put it up with regular submissions.

I had 3 tied at the top:

Sickening Desires
For the Love of Satan
The Vampire Affair

Several were grouped just below those... but, those jumped out at me.

My favorite title, by far, is The Frequency of Fear. I just love that title.

I am totally cool with the lower volume.  The site ebbs and flows and I'm cool with that.  I think that the quality of the scripts submitted have been consistently higher. Also, I'm wondering if the newer writers are intimidated going head to head with the upper echelon of writers.

Hey Don - It might be cool to hold a OWC that's only open to members that have been on SS for one year or less. Call it a 'Newbie OWC'.

I didn't have time to participate in this at all, which is annoying as I love the OWC's, but congratulations to Paul and all those who entered.
