I know this might be a stupid question, but are page numbers needed to be put in a script or do I just leave that out?

They are a good idea for reference. Usually when readers what to critique your work, they will refer to the page. It's much more easier that way.

Script page numbers are only put into any piece of work, if it is a final or production draft. A spec script should NEVER have page numbers.
You're thinking of scene numbers. A spec script should have page numbers.
