I have not been able to locate the scripts for films like Quarantine, Blair Witch, and Cloverfield.
I am curious as to how a screenwriter writes when the camera is a character itself. Specifically if the whole film is one or more characters are recording the action and the intended film is supposed to be viewed from this perspective.

I know a big rule for screenwriters is not to direct the camera in screenplays, but in this case it is very important.

Do I just let it be known the images are presented from a characters video camera at the beginning and ignore camera movements and just focus on action? Or can I go in more detail about how the camera moves?

You're talking about documentary styled films.

Have a read of Phil's Pugumentary here on SimplyScripts.

Let us know if this helps you out.

This one's on my to do list to read.  I had read the original which was very entertaining to read.

I have the original Cloverfield script scanned. Give me your email or send me a PM and I can send it to you.

Cheers!
