Quoted from SAC

I’ve never read a script that affected me as much as this one. All the while without giving me a satisfying conclusion.

Anyone else who has read this I’d love to hear your thoughts.

This was mos def a WTF film and script.  It kept me engaged because I was expecting some kind of explanation at the end.  Which didn't come and I wasn't surprised.

Yeah I was surprised by the end. Pissed actually. Didn’t see the film yet, though I did seek out an interview with Charlie Kauffman that kind of explained everything. That said, it really did effect me in a profound way. I guess that’s the best I can hope for. I feel weird.

Thanks McManus for the heads up on Emma from Focus Films and Nomadland, but regretably, Searchlight Pictures are being dicks about it and will only let you read the script if you have a guild password.

Anyhoo - here is Emma and check out other scripts studios are posting for award consideration.

Emma - Undated, unspecified draft  script by Eleanor Catton (Based on the novel by Jane Austen) - hosted by: Focus Features - in pdf format

Jane Austen's beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending, is reimagined in this. Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.

Never heard of this and it sounds like complete woke garbage, I'll be interested to see how it goes as it seems to tick all the right woke boxes just from the logline.
