The episode is meant to highlight the recent controversy surrounding Internet celebrity Christine Weston Chandler. Although based on current events, the names of the characters have been changed and events fictionalized.
I can’t believe someone wrote an SVU spec about ChrisChan.
Just from briefly reading, this seems like it diverges from what I typically understand is the SVU formula. Most of the teasers don’t open with the detectives, but with the crime occurring (or it’s immediete aftermath) then switches to the cops.
I think if you’re writing a spec for an existing show you should demonstrate an ability to stick to their formulas, because the purpose obstensibly is to establish yourself as someone who could be good in an existing writers room.
