I lived in UK at this time (that's why I got the Yorkshire newspaper). I remember everyone was shocked, me first. A few weeks before, Starting Over was on the radio. It was his comeback.

And yes, For No One, personally, is the greatest song Macca ever wrote. That song means so much to me...

Hi Stevie

Quite enjoyed this. The linking together of the two deaths was quite ian nteresting way of doing things.

I would say that, oddly, the verbatim dialogue sounded more false than real - but then it is said that the way people speak, when written down, can look fake!

I would agree with one of the comments that "the great John Lennon" didn't sound right - is this verbatim too? I would have them ask his name and when he manages to say, they realise who he is - even if this isn't how it happened.

Otherwise fab.

Thanks for the read, Simon. Glad you liked it. Yeah, the verbatim dialogue does sound odd but most of it is word for word from accounts of the events.
I don't know for sure if the cops said the 'great' John Lennon exactly like that but the rest is true.

I think your new one, when posted, will get some very good feedback. I didn't actually realise the title was from that song until you mentioned it.  Cheers man.
