We are a production company in Montana seeking a story/script for a low budget feature to be shot primarily in one location.  This is going to be an equity shared low budget feature and while we do have a few scripts in, we are looking for a treatment that might light us up.

Shooting Fall 2020 in NW Montana.

Tentative theatrical distribution in place depending on how COVID-19 affects the independent film industry in the NW US.

Genre preference: Comedy, drama, horror

No significant CGI or practical effects

Must be available to produce for equity share credit per our modified Slicing Pie film equity model.  You can read up on the Slicing Pie for startups but we have a modified version for film production.  Basically everyone that works on the project gets an equity share in the project instead of up front compensation.

Feel free to PM if you are not comfortable posting in reply here.

Hey Brandon,

I don't have a single location story, but check out my feature JOHN LENNON'S HEAVEN under the feature drama section.

It's purposely written with limited speaking roles and limited locations so it would be easy to film. Most of the action takes place in a plain room and thus can be shot anywhere. The family scenes include sets like a private home, a funeral home, and a room and hallway that needs to double as a college dorm.

It's an exploration of religion, physics and philosophy in a way that's never been attempted before.  PM me with any questions.

Thanks,

AJR

I read a single location feature yesterday which made me want to just give up. It was spectacular. One small location, sci-fi, three actors and I was hooked throughout. I can't talk about it or share it because it has been sold for a considerable sum but bloody hell, these things are possible. Unfortunately, the talent required to write them won't be interested in IMDB credits or a small fee, this guy is a Hollywood professional and I can see why.

I totally get that.  The unfortunate thing for me is that the only two people I have ever shot were scripts written by myself and by a friend of mine - who is such a big writer these days that I only get to hang with him a a few times a year. So I get it, there is a certain quality that is hard to hit and once you see it you know.

First of all, I want to say that this community has been great.  Lots of people contacted me and there were some really bang up ideas and stories that I received.

However, things got complicated and so we went another direction.  The good news is that we have a story and a script in process, the bad news is that it's not from anyone here. However, the pitch that we got was too hot not to go with so we had to follow that trail.  As such I stopped reading scripts.

This is a really great community and next time I'm ready to do another feature I will likely come back.

Thank you all!
